Sponsoring a GWHH Project
Some groups or organizations wish more extensive involvement with a Habitat project. In that instance they agree to be responsible for many levels of activity including fund-raising, land acquisition, construction, and so forth. If your group would like to sponsor all or part of a GWHH project, please contact us for more information.

Partnership Programs

Church Building Partners (CBP)
This program is designed to develop long-term, dependable partnerships between area churches and GWHH. The purpose of the CBP is to increase the "helping capacity" of both groups which share the outreach mission of Helping Others: Church members have a "hands on" experience, which reinforces the outreach message of the church. Habitat gathers support from a larger volunteer pool to assist with house building, newsletter development and fund raising.

Business Building Partners
This program is currently being developed to establish long-term, dependable partnerships between area business or other local organizations and GWHH. Business Building partners participate on a variety of financial levels. Some companies take a lead role in a construction project; others get involved by hosting an event. Most sponsors choose to provide the majority of the volunteers who will work on the house in coordination with Habitat staff. Partnering with GWHH and the Habitat homeowner can be an exciting and rewarding experience for everyone involved, and has been used by corporations and organizations to promote teamwork and communication among its employees.

Most sponsors choose to supply the level of volunteers that meets their needs. The level of participation is driven by the sponsor and feels appropriate. Occasionally a sponsor provides all the labor.
